A small Bokhara Suzani in nim format, with a sweeping lattice design of green lancet leaves framing red poppies and star-shaped flowers. The single panel border, drawn on a larger scale, is decorated with similar motifs, supplemented by circular flowers, palmettes and blue irises. The cotton ground weave is heavily patinated and has turned light brown due to age, making the design colours stand out even more brilliantly. Backed with a monochrome fabric; the sides have been folded back in places. Several holes and stains.
