In this rare silk embroidery made in the oasis town of Kermina north east of Bokhara, the field is covered in a close-meshed lattice of eight-pointed designs enclosing cornflower-blue blossoms and small green leaves, with red floral stars marking the points of intersection. The narrow single-stripe border contains a lively green vine enclosing circular blossoms. – Small lost areas and holes, backed with fabric.
