This Nurata Suzani has large, diagonal flowering trees placed into the corners. Unlike the usual style, however, the centre of the field has not been accentuated by a central motif; instead it contains flowering trees and long panicles arranged side by side or offset against one another. All the ornaments of the field design are small and delicate. Fourteen miniature birds have been distributed across the field. In the border of circular flowers and palmettes linked by an elongated vine of green lancet leaves, the larger scale of the designs is striking. – Two damaged corners, various tears and holes, backed with fabric.
